Terms and conditions

Terms of engagement for the VUELAPATAS pet transport service.

1. Purpose

These terms govern the engagement of the pet transport services provided by VUELAPATAS within United States territory, together with the ancillary services of paperwork handling, rental or sale of approved carriers and veterinary coordination.

2. Scope of the service

VUELAPATAS operates domestic transfers only, within the 50 states of the United States. We do not provide export, import or international animal transport services.

3. Acceptance of the animal

VUELAPATAS reserves the right to refuse a transfer where the animal’s state of health, breed or age, or the weather conditions at origin or destination, make the journey inadvisable. In that case the amount paid is refunded in full, less only any expenses already paid to third parties.

4. Obligations of the owner

The owner is responsible for the accuracy of the health and identification details provided. VUELAPATAS handles the formalities but is not liable for delays, refusals or penalties arising from incorrect or incomplete information supplied by the customer.

5. Price and payment

The amount quoted at the time of booking is firm and stands unless the customer requests changes, or new requirements are imposed by the airline or the destination state. Any variation is notified and authorised in writing before it is applied.

6. Cancellations and changes

Cancellation is free up to 72 hours before pickup. After that point 30 % of the amount is retained for work already carried out. Date changes requested with less than 72 hours’ notice may incur whatever ticket-reissue cost the airline applies.

7. Liability

Transport cover reaches USD 5,000 per animal. Excluded are damages arising from undisclosed pre-existing conditions, from the animal’s individual reaction to the stress of travel and from force majeure beyond the carrier’s control. Incidents must be reported within 48 hours of delivery.

8. Governing law

These terms are governed by the law of the State of Tennessee, United States. For any dispute the parties submit to the courts of Davidson County, expressly waiving any other jurisdiction.
