Frequently asked questions
The ones we are always asked, answered straight. If yours is missing, write to us and we will add it.
How much notice do I need to give?
If your pet is up to date on vaccinations and microchip, and the route has a daily flight, it can leave the same day or the next. If the health certificate is missing, what takes time is the vet appointment: usually 24 or 48 hours. There is no need to schedule anything weeks ahead.
Can I drop into the office without an appointment?
Yes. Bring your pet in, we assess the case on the spot and tell you what is needed and when it can leave. If everything is in order, the check is done, the crate is prepared and it ships without you going home first.
Does my pet travel alone?
Never unsupervised. In the cabin it travels with one of our couriers or with you. In the hold it travels in a pressurised, temperature-regulated compartment, and our coordinator confirms loading and unloading with the ramp crew at every stop.
Can an animal be sedated to fly?
No, and no serious airline allows it. Sedatives affect blood pressure and temperature regulation at cruising altitude. What we do instead is get the animal used to the carrier before departure so it does not feel strange.
What about short-nosed breeds?
Bulldogs, pugs, boxers, persians and the like face real restrictions: many airlines ban them from the hold. We move them in the cabin when the weight allows, or by road. We tell you when we assess the case, not at the end.
How do I find out the cost?
It depends on your pet’s weight, the route and the service, so we do not publish rates that then do not hold. Write or call us with those three details and we give you a firm price on the spot, with no commitment and no small print.
What does the IATA crate include?
The crate is yours to keep. It is sized so your pet can stand, turn around and lie down without touching the roof, with an externally refillable water bowl, an absorbent pad and the official labels already fitted.
What if the flight is cancelled?
We have boarding with a vet on call at the six main hubs. If a flight falls through, your pet sleeps somewhere it is looked after and leaves on the first available slot. You do not pay for rebooking when the cause is not yours.
Can I see where it is at any moment?
Yes. Every transfer has a tracking number with the full timeline: pickup, vet, boarding, in flight and delivery. It is updated by a person, not a robot.
Do you accept animals other than dogs and cats?
Rabbits, ferrets, birds and reptiles, if the airline and the destination state allow it. Every species has its own list of requirements and some states ban them. Ask us before assuming anything.
Do you travel outside the United States?
No. We only handle transfers within United States territory, across all 50 states. It is what we do well and where we can answer for every step of the way.
Do you work with shelters and adoptions?
Yes, with special terms for verified adoption transfers. We move around 40 cases a year with shelters across the country.
